This valve is designed for koi ponds - having a non return plastic flap rather than a metal spring and ball as in domestic valves.
It is durable and safe for use with salt and medications as there is no metal to come into contact with the water.

This one way check valve is ideal for use in any situation where water may siphone back to the pond on a pump fed system.

1. Used prior to mechanical bay on pump fed filter, it stops the waste from syphning back from the first chamber into the pond.
2. Used in line with a water pump it keeps the pump primed with water at all times.
3. Used prior to an electric heater it ensures that the heater remains primed with water. This is necessary to avoid failure by running dry.

This valve provides the koi keeper with peace of mind as well as ensuring that costly heaters etc will not be ruined by running dry.

This valves takes 2" pressure pipe or 2" standard solvent weld waste pipe, with reducing bushes not supplied don't waste your money on cheap valves it's false economy !
