By utilising the time clock it is possible to program many different feeding schedules.

All the metal components are either galvanized or made from stainless steel, and whether used in a standing or a hanging mode, the EstroFeeder can be refilled in seconds.

Why an automatic feeder? Koi do not have stomachs and because of this, food digestion takes place in the intestines. If the fish eats too much at once then the extra food is merely passed out of the body undigested.

Because of this action it means extra amounts of waste products are released creating extra loading for the water and the filters.

If however the fish could digest everything optimally, the quality of the pond water would stay steady for longer periods and the filters would have to work less.

This situation can be achieved if the fish eat slowly with their feed being equally distributed over the whole day. It is for this reason that the EstroFeeder was developed.

The EstroFeeder has a programmable clock that allows you to feed your fish up to seven times a day entirely in an automatic mode.

Don't forget, every time you visit your pond you tend to feed the fish by hand with small amounts.

A simple calculation shows us the following: A koi carp consumes for example 10 grams of feed a day. From these 10 grams about 30% or say 3 grams will be deposited undigested into the pond water, an unnecessary burden for the pond and the filter. If you only have 10 fish and you feed them for 150 days a year, you would save an average of 3 x 10 x 150 grams or 4500 grams in fish food a year.

Naturally with more fish you would save more and the EstroFeeder could earn its initial outlay back very quickly, and this is additional to any other advantages.
