Product DetailsCLOVERLEAF BACTERIA ANSWER
1LTR bottle will treat ponds up to 5,000 lts 1,100 gall
New For 2006. With Cloverleaf’s “Blanket Answer” now proven to be extremely successful in removing the dreaded blanket weed (filamentous algae), it was thought time to extend the range by introducing other products orientated towards achieving good water quality, and an environmentally sound pond.
These 4 new products comprise: (1) “Sludge Answer”(2) “Bacteria Answer” (3) “Pond Support Answer” (4) “Oxygen Answer”.
All bottles contain a 30ml measuring cup (from 5ml to 30ml). Always replace the cup back into the bottle to assist in forming an air tight seal.
Bacteria Answer is a unique blend of nitrifying bacteria to promote healthy filtration systems.
Nitrifying bacteria are vital for the establishment of a healthy balanced pond, and are a key contributor towards the development of a mature filtration system. Achieving such parameters in a new fish pond is fraught with potential problems, but Cloverleaf’s "Bacteria Answer" is the safe answer to accelerating the process.
For new ponds, new filter systems, or sudden high fish loads, dosage with "Bacteria Answer" should be made twice a month for the first month, and once per month thereafter. For long term maintenance Cloverleaf’s "Pond Support Answer" is recommended.
Dosage of "Bacteria Answer" should be based on 200ml per 1000 litres of pond content, with the product mixed in 3 litres of pond water and applied with a watering can to the pond and filter system. UV clarifiers should be turned off for the first 24 hours of application.
1 litre bottle will treat ponds up to 5,000 litres (30ml treats 150 litres). For health & safety advice see below.
Tip: Although not strictly necessary bacteria culture products do benefit from being diluted into a watering can of mature pond water, and then subjected to a bombardment of oxygen via an airstone & pump for a 30 minute period. This assists in bringing the cultures to life more quickly, and is applicable to such products as Sludge Answer, Bacteria Answer and Pond Support Answer. (The procedure is not required for Blanket Answer).
General common sense should be the prevailing factor on the storage and use of all pond water treatments, chemicals & food products. No Cloverleaf product is knowingly dangerous, but that does not mean that “Blanket Answer” can be safely added into the wife’s cup of tea.
All such products should be kept in a safe place away from pets and the prying hands of young children, and away from being cross contaminated with human food products. Wash hands following the use of any product, and where treatments are diluted in a watering can then keep a special can (duly marked) for this purpose. (The very last thing wanted is a watering can that has been previously used to mix up weed killer).
Always re-seal the lids on bottles etc, to prevent any form of erosion/degrading that can potentially take place when subjected to the air for long periods of time. All pond related food/bacteria products are best stored in a cool dry place.
Never add any water treatments to the pond when 2 days later it is the intention to clean the filters and carry out a partial water change. Many Cloverleaf products are great, but not when they are washed down a drain or onto the lawn. Always plan treatment applications with some degree of forethought.
