Simply pump water on its return to the pond through the inlet pipe into the heat exchanger (similar to a UV Steriliser).
Water entering circulates past an inner stainless steel coil which contains hot water from the boiler. The hot water in the coil never touches the pond water but the heat generated from it is transferred to the water flowing round it by radiation. The unit is housed in a heavy gauge 316 stainless steel jacket.
